The JPA will be hosting the JPA Anime Awards 2025, Africa's first anime awards! Help us by casting your vote and deciding who will be crowned South Africa’s best anime and more.

The red-carpet awards ceremony will take place in Johannesburg, South Africa and is sure to be a night to remember. Industry professionals, celebrities and fans alike will come together to celebrate local movers and shakers in the anime world, as well as the best Japanese anime has to offer.

The first round of voting starts on the 15th of March 2025 and will close on 20 April 2025.

Thereafter a panel of judges will consider a variety of factors before determining the winners for each category.

Casting your vote will enter you into the draw for exclusive tickets for you and your partner to attend the JPA Anime Awards Ceremony.

Basic Considerations when voting:

1. The first episode of the series or cour must have been released in 2024.

2. Content must be legally available in South Africa through televised broadcast, home media, or online streaming.

3. Films must have had a theatrical or digital release in South Africa.
